  • Notebook

Get your kids to think about the sounds they hear every day.

  • Talk with them about why these sounds remind them of where they live.
  • Have your child spend a few minutes with their eyes closed, listening to common sounds in their house or outside in their neighbourhood: e.g. laundry machine, dishwasher, the sound of a bus, wind in a backyard tree.
  • Create a worksheet to note all the sounds they hear
  • Have them share their results with you and other family members.
