Red and White Popcorn

What you need:

  • Popcorn -7 cups of popped popcorn - You can buy the sea salt air popped bags of popcorn in the organic section of my grocery store oryou can air pop your own.
  • White Chocolate Melting Wafers - 16 oz of white melting chocolate - For melting. Make sure you use melting/baker’s chocolate andnot white chocolate chips. Their consistency does not always result in a smooth texture once melted.
  • Red Velvet Muffins - 2 cups of red velvet cupcake crumbs -You can either back yourown or used store bought. You don’t need a lot of red velvet crumbs to coat the popcorn, so only a few muffins/cupcakes are needed to coat all the popcorn. If you buy store bought with icing, remove the icing before crumbling on top of the popcorn.

How to Assemble:

  • Add popcorn to a large bowl.
  • Melt the chocolate in a micorwave safe bowl checking every 25 second to avoid burning. Remember that the chocolate will continue to melt even after removing from heat.
  • Once melted, pour chocolate over popcorn and fold to coat popcorn evenly. Add red velvet to bowl and stir until crumbs are evenly distributed.
  • Transfer popcorn to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let cool until chocolate has set.
  • Put in cello bags or serve and enjoy!
