Popcorn Party Mix

What you need:

  • Popped popcorn
  • Raisins
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Fruit loop cereal
  • Mini M&Ms or other chocolate
  • Pretzels
  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • White candy melts

Whether you are having an at home birthday party, or a family movie night, popcorn is always a great party snack to have around. It is even better when it is taken up a notch to include colourful chocolates, salty pretzels and fun and fruity colours.

Here is how you make Popcorn Party Mix:

  • Step 1: Spread popcorn on one or two baking sheets, making sure it is spread out in one layer.
  • Step 2: Using a microwave safe bowl, melt your white chocolate melting wafers in 25 second intervals (remember the chocolate will continue to melt after removing from heat). Drizzle over popcorn, sprinkle with the rainbow sprinkles and set aside.
  • Step 3: In a large bowl add raisins, marshmallows, cereal, pretzels and m&ms. Mix to combine, sometimes our hands work best!
  • Step 4: Once popcorn is coold, break into pieces and add to the sweet and salty mix.

*best to store in an airtight container if your family does not finish it all in one sitting. It can also be put into ziploc bags to take to a friends house or school the next day.
