Mini Jello Aquarium Jars

What you will need:

  • Swedish Fish
  • Lifesaver gummies
  • Blue jello
  • some sort of clear container (glass cups, bowls or small juice glasses)

This snack treat is on the sweeter side, but it is fun and of course your children can be involved in the assembly of their own aquarium creation.

How to assemble:

  • Step 1: Have children cut up Lifesavers gummies in small pieces. They will serve as the pebble bottoms of the aquarium. While your children are doing that, you can prepare the jello as per the instructions on the box.
  • Step 2: Pour the jello over your pebbles and put in fridge to set for a few hours. Once jello is set, use a knife to make slits in the jello where the fish will be inserted. Make as many slits as you would like there to be fish. Insert the fist and push down as far as you would like them to be 'floating'.
  • Step 3: Once all fish are in the 'water', your dessert is ready to enjoy. You could add some whipped cream on top to make the 'white caps' of the ocean.
