No bake butterscotch haystacks

  • 1 Cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 tbsp shortening (do not use butter, margarine or spread or oil)
  • 1 1/2 cups of chowmein noodles (coarsely broken)

How to make:

Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Melt butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips and shortening in a microwave safe bowl (30 second intervals to avoid burning). Stir in chow mein noodles and stir to fully coat. Drop mixture onto cookie sheet or into paper candy cups. let stand until firm or refrigerate. Store in tightly covered container in refridgerator.
